Start on the hands and knees position
It is similar to but more of a cat-camel position: Put your hands on the floor directly under your shoulder and your knees directly under your hips. Do not let you hips go further back than your knees’ position. Tucking the upper abs up into your chest, keeping your abs tight. Grip the ab roller with both hands, and prepare to roll.
Roll forward and contract your abs
Move forward from your core. Roll your hands, arms, and torso forward until you feel like you can no longer pull yourself back up. Hold it for a few seconds. Keep your abs tight, the hips stable, and the lower back muscles contracted.
Return to the starting position
Use your core muscles to roll the ab roller back toward your starting position. Do not let your hips go further back than your knees’ position. Keep the same careful pace the whole time.
